The Journey So Far
In 1958, Mr. Kailash Chandra Kalra with a humble amount of INR 2,000 established Deepak Fasteners Ltd. And as the manufacturing capacity grew, in 1990’s the business was taken to export markets. Second & third manufacturing plants were set up in Doraha (Punjab) & Tahliwala (Himachal Pradesh).
In 2005, an agreement was signed with SPS Technologies to manufacture & market Unbrako in the Indian subcontinent. In 2008, Deepak Fasteners acquired the brand Unbrako from SPS Technologies, along with sub-brands Durlok & Sel-lok, Ireland manufacturing unit & the Melbourne warehouse.
This was a giant leap in fulfilling its vision of becoming the world leader in Industrial Fasteners. This acquisition was a one-of-a-kind i.e. an Indian firm buying out a well-established American fastener brand.
In 2012, to meet the ever-increasing demand from all over the world, a plan was set-in motion for mega manufacturing plant. $100 million were invested in its new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) with high-tech equipment & machinery.
In 2014, further expanding its global footprint, a warehouse was set up in Los Angeles, USA.
Today, Unbrako fasteners proudly secure engineering structures such as Melbourne's AAMI Park, London Heathrow T5, Spain's Torre Caja Tower, Mumbai's Bandra-Worli Sea Link and Delhi Metro. With major global expansion and continuous investment in superior manufacturing processes, Unbrako aims to be featured on many more prestigious projects throughout the world.
